4-8 Years

The Role

The firm serves as special litigation counsel providing conflict-free, aggressive advocacy. They avoid repeat, ongoing client relationships and the conflicts of interest that can develop as a result. Accordingly, we maintain our independence as advocates ready to litigate against virtually any institution.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is focused on “breaking the traditional lawyering mold” by using deep knowledge and cutting-edge techniques to get to the heart of solving the client’s real problem.

Requirements: Graduated law school between 2018 - 2014. Admission to the New York State Bar or other U.S. State Bar. Clerkships are always beneficial. Strong litigation and insolvency experience or restructuring experience with a desire to crossover to litigation

The Firm

Ranked within the top five Litigation Boutiques, this firm looks for experienced attorneys with a clerkship or some other distinguishing skill under their belt, and top-notch writing skills—there’s a writing test included in the interview process. Because everyone comes in as a mid-level, the firm does well at integrating new lawyers quickly. The atmosphere is professional but friendly. Relations between associates and partners are generally respectful; Associates receive substantive work, with enough on their plates to keep busy, and feel matters are well staffed as far as distribution of workload. They are happy with market compensation and regular bonuses, especially in light of the manageable 1,800 billable-hour requirement. Partnership is considered a realistic goal, and the firm is seen as supportive of associate development toward that goal. $205k-$365k
