The Role
Government scrutiny of corporate conduct has high-stakes ramifications for executives and organizations. The firm's attorneys conduct internal investigations and represent clients facing actual or threatened enforcement. They also represent clients in civil fraud litigation and administrative proceedings. The lawyers assist both corporate and individual clients in responding to government inquiries, ranging from Department of Justice criminal and civil investigations to federal agency investigations to state Attorney General investigations. While they strive to resolve matters prior to court proceedings, we have a track record of success defending clients at trial.
Requirements
Litigation associate with three to five years of experience to join its highly regarded White Collar Defense & Internal Investigations Group. Qualified candidates will have experience in federal or state court litigation; past criminal experience, such as criminal prosecution or criminal defense work, is strongly preferred. Qualified applicants also will have experience with government and internal investigations focused on alleged corporate misconduct, such as allegations by the Department of Justice or Securities & Exchange Commission of securities fraud, money laundering and corruption. Clerkship and courtroom experience are strongly preferred.
