The Role

In this role you will advise cutting-edge clients ranging from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies in the technology, life science, green energy, and cleantech space, including:
Interfacing directly with clients to provide mission-critical advice on all aspects of employment law, including hiring, leaves of absence, internal investigations, terminations, trade secret protection, restrictive covenants, and employee mobility;Advocating for clients in employment-related disputes before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitral panels; and
Assisting and advising on various employment-related matters in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and other corporate transactions, gaining valuable cross-disciplinary experience.

Requirements

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years of experience in management-side employment litigation and counseling for the Employment & Trade Secrets group.

The Firm

Vault 35; 950 attorneys across 19 offices around the world. Vault #2 Emerging Companies and VC. The firm seeks candidates with an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in technology and innovation, and laterals are assigned a partner mentor to support integration. 1,950 billable hour requirement, which can include unlimited pro bono hours and other non-client work. While many associates find this to be reasonable, especially appreciating the PTO program—where 40 hours of PTO count as billable time—others believe the work to be unevenly distributed, leading to burnout. Associates appreciate the level of responsibility they are afforded to work on substantive legal work for dynamic clients. Regarded as a technologically forward firm, Wilson the firm has stepped up its technological platforms to enhance remote work efficiency and is developing its own technology in-house to automate mundane tasks.Compensation is at market rates (i.e. base $215k-$415k).
