The Role
This candidate must be able to act as lead associate on transactions and supervise other attorneys in various aspects of due diligence, negotiation, document drafting and deal execution.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has 2 – 4 years of experience in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions, including initial public offerings, equity and debt offerings, both private and public, primarily in the energy space, covering all aspects from upstream, midstream to downstream.

The attorneys often interact in the office and after hours, and the associates are happy with the firm’s efforts to promote this social culture. Associate/partner relationships are nothing short of respectful and mutually supportive—the associates feel like a valued member of the team and are regularly updated on the firm’s finances and performance. Work hours are reasonable considering the amount of flexibility the firm offers associates. Base salary is below market, so compensation is more heavily dependent on bonuses.The vast majority of the work is diverse, substantive, and appropriate for the associate's level of experience.Partnership is a realistic opportunity and non-partner roles are available for associates to transition to. Up to 100 hours of pro bono work are counted towards billable hours. $215k-$345k
